     About us.

• EMS is a small business devoted to providing quality products to allow Ducati Owners to perform their own desmo valve adjustments.  All products are made in the USA.  EMS is owned and operated by Michael Guidera B.S., M.S., a mechanical/biomedical engineer with 25 years experience designing orthopedic and cardiovascular products for the medical industry. 
  
  EMS became a reality in 2003 after I bought my first Ducati motorcycle, a 1994 900 Monster.  After attempting the first valve adjustment, I realized a kit of shims of various sizes would be most helpful.  I went about gathering all the necessary information and designed a 2V shim kit.  Over the last 4 years, additional products have been added to the product line.  May you not only enjoy owning and riding your Ducati, but also maintaining it.
